Toad Lily and a Scary Monster
Saturday, October 20th, 2007I waited all summer for my toad lily to bloom, and it finally did about two weeks ago. This is the first bloom. They’re tiny flowers, about an inch across at the top, but there’s a lot of them.
Also, here’s the first preying mantis I ever saw first-hand. And had it not been on the other side of my screen I would have flipped out. Okay, okay, I know they won’t hurt me, but holy shit, that’s a huge insect.
